Kolkata, 25th September 2024: Windows Production has released the much-awaited item number “Dakatiya Banshi” from their upcoming film Bohurupi. The song features Koushani Mukherjee, dazzling in a red saree, and Shiboprosad Mukherjee. Composed by Bonnie Chakraborty, the song is performed by Shrestha Das, Nanichora Das Baul, and Bonnie Chakraborty.
Captivating Performance
The song’s release was marked by a flash mob event at New Market, where Koushani Mukherjee danced alongside Nanichora Das Baul. The vibrant choreography was led by Mangesh Khedekar (Maggi) and his team.
Behind the Scenes
Koushani Mukherjee, who plays Jhimli, shared, “Dakatiya Banshi is my first item number. Filming in 45-degree heat was challenging, but I hope the audience loves it.”
Music and Dance
Music Director Bonnie Chakraborty expressed his excitement, stating, “This song is set to be the highlight of this pujo season. The entire team worked tirelessly to perfect it.”
Choreographer Mangesh Khedekar added, “Working with Shibu Da and Nandita Ma’am in my first Bengali film was enriching. Managing the Bohurupi artists, who were new to facing the camera, was challenging but rewarding. Koushani’s dancing and Shibu Da’s expressions elevated the experience.”
“Dakatiya Banshi” is already creating a buzz and is expected to become a festive favorite this season.
