In a proactive move towards ensuring the integrity of railway premises, the Howrah Division of the Eastern Railway conducted a successful anti-encroachment drive at the Dankuni – Burdwan Section on November 22, 2023. The operation was led by the Assistant Engineer (AEN) of Dankuni – Burdwan Section and his dedicated team.
The Howrah Division, committed to maintaining the sanctity of its railway infrastructure, routinely conducts inspections to identify and eliminate encroachments. The recent drive at BELMURI station within the division was a commendable effort, resulting in the removal of 73 hard encroachments, with 65 on the Down (DN) side and 08 on the Up (UP) side.
The success of this operation was attributed to the collaborative efforts of the diligent team, which included the support of the IPF, RPF, CDAE, staff from Burdwan. The seamless coordination among these departments played a pivotal role in the effective execution of the eviction.
