Kolkata, 20th September 2024: Zee Bangla, a premier Bengali entertainment channel, is all set to engage its audience with its latest drama, Anandi. Premiering on 23rd September 2024, this emotionally charged series promises to take viewers on a heartfelt journey through the life of a young woman who firmly believes that love and care can overcome many of life’s toughest obstacles.
Anandi centers around the determined character of Anandi, portrayed by Anwesha Hazra, a young woman from a humble lower-middle-class background. She dreams of becoming a doctor, but those dreams are deferred when her father’s illness forces her to take up a job as a nurse to support her family. In the process, she finds herself working for a wealthy family of doctors, where she meets her idol, Dr. Adidev Lahiri, a renowned heart surgeon played by Writwik Mukherjee. Their initial interactions are riddled with misunderstandings, especially after the devastating loss of Anandi’s father during a surgery performed by Dr. Lahiri.
As circumstances unfold, Anandi is thrust into an unwanted marriage, but it leads her to discover the truth behind her father’s death. She learns that Dr. Lahiri had been wrongly accused. With determination and strength, Anandi embarks on a quest to clear Dr. Lahiri’s name and bring justice to light.
