19th July 2023 – The much-anticipated Bangladeshi film “Surongo” is all set to hit the big screens in India, captivating audiences across West Bengal. The film’s India release is scheduled on 21st July, brought to the Indian viewers by the renowned production houses, Chorki and Alpha-i, in collaboration with SVF Entertainment.
In an exciting press conference held today, the event saw the presence of eminent artists Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza, along with the talented director Raihan Rafi. The gathering was al celebration of creativity, diversity, and the spirit of cross-border cinematic collaborations.
Director Raihan Rafi expressed his enthusiasm for the film’s release in Kolkata, stating, “Surongo holds a special place in my heart, and it’s a privilege to share this cinematic journey with the audiences over here in India. The film is an amalgamation of emotions and human connections, and I hope it resonates with the viewers.”
Afran Nisho, who plays the protagonist in “Surongo,” shared his excitement, saying, “As an actor, there is nothing more gratifying than seeing your efforts being cherished by a diverse range of viewers. Kolkata’s profound cultural legacy and passion for cinema make it the perfect location for Surongo to be unveiled. Tama Mirza, the talented actress known for her captivating performances, expressed her gratitude, stating, “Surongo’s journey has been incredible, and the response in Bangladesh was overwhelming. The film is all set to hit the big screen from 21st July onwards in West Bengal, India.
