Empowering the Underprivileged:
On the 31st of March 2024, the Cable TV Equipments Traders & Manufacturers Association (CTMA) joined hands with the East Kolkata Nagrik Foundation to organize a Free Eye Operation Camp in Lake Town, Kolkata. The initiative aimed to provide free cataract surgeries to 100 patients from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Led by Dr. Sayantan Ghosh and his dedicated team, the camp successfully restored sight to those in need.
A Generous Donation:
In addition to the free surgeries, CTMA made a significant contribution to eye care by donating an AB-Scan Machine to the Eastern Kolkata Nagrik Foundation. This advanced equipment promises to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care, underscoring CTMA’s commitment to supporting healthcare infrastructure in the region.
Support from Dignitaries:
Shri Sujit Bose, MLA and Minister-in-Charge of Fire and Emergency Services, graced the event with his presence. He commended CTMA and the Eastern Kolkata Nagrik Foundation for their noble endeavor and formally inaugurated the AB-Scan Machine. Mr. Bose emphasized the importance of such initiatives in uplifting the underprivileged and pledged his ongoing support to similar causes.

Mr. Pawan Jajodia, Treasurer of CTMA, expressed gratitude to all involved in making the camp a success.
