Actor-director Farhan Akhtar, who recently celebrated 20 years of their film ‘Lakshya’, starring Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Preity Zinta, opened up about the possibility of a future collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan after ‘Don 2’.
In a recent interview, Farhan affirmed that they would definitely find something they wanted to work on together.Previously, Farhan had directed Shah Rukh Khan in the 2006 action thriller ‘Don’ and its sequel, ‘Don 2’, which was released in 2011. SRK played the iconic role of the titular anti-hero.
Additionally, Shah Rukh made a guest appearance in the production company’s ‘Luck by Chance’, which was the directorial debut of Farhan’s sister, Zoya Akhtar. Moreover, the superstar’s 2017 movie ‘Raees’ was also co-produced by Farhan’s production house.
Marking 20 years of ‘Lakshya’, the makers have decided to release the film in cinema halls once again on June 21, today. Sharing an update on the same, Farhan wrote on Instagram, “A timeless tribute to courage and patriotism. Join us in theatres as we celebrate #20YearsOfLakshya, back in cinemas on June 21st.”
On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar created a buzz on the internet last year when he announced the highly anticipated third installment of his Don franchise. It was also revealed that Ranveer Singh would be taking on the iconic role.
The filmmaker-actor, who plays multiple roles with ease, is said to have started work on the ambitious Don 3, as expectations are riding high on the movie. With Ranveer Singh donning this hat for the first time and Kiara Advani being roped in as the leading lady, this will also mark their first collaboration on screen.
During the fan interaction, one person asked if he would be seen working with Shah Rukh Khan again anytime in the future.
Farhan responded, “Yeah, absolutely yeah. We’ll find something that we want to work on together, and I’m sure we will.” He also added, “You just have to find something that you can connect on with somebody,” and asserted again by saying, “100 percent.”
