To cater to the high demand for travel during the festive occasion of Holi, Eastern Railway announces the operation of a special train service from Kolkata to Chandigarh. This initiative aims to provide a convenient and comfortable travel option for passengers wanting to celebrate the colorful festival with their loved ones in Chandigarh.
Service Details
The special train, numbered 03107 Kolkata – Chandigarh Holi Special (via Dankuni), is scheduled to depart from Kolkata at 19:20 hrs. on 22.03.2024 (Friday). It will reach Chandigarh at 02:20 hrs. on the third day of its journey. Enroute, the train will make stops at Barddhaman, Durgapur, and Asansol stations at 20:52 hrs., 21:40 hrs., and 22:17 hrs. respectively, within the Eastern Railway jurisdiction. At Barddhaman and Durgapur, the train will halt for 2 minutes, while at Asansol, it will halt for 5 minutes.

The special train will offer Sleeper Class accommodation, ensuring a comfortable journey for passengers. With the introduction of this one-way Holi Special Train, Eastern Railway will generate an additional 1440 berths, alleviating the surge in passenger numbers during the Holi festival period.
