Kolkata, 17th March 2025: Filmfare marked a new milestone by introducing the first-ever Joy Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards West Bengal 2025 in Kolkata. After six successful editions in Mumbai, the event made its grand entry into West Bengal, celebrating the region’s deep-rooted influence on fashion and style in Indian cinema. Held at JW Marriott, Kolkata, this dazzling night brought together the most stylish and glamorous icons from Bengal’s entertainment and fashion industries.
Winners Who Stole the Show
Jeet emerged as the biggest winner of the night, taking home ‘Most Stylish Star (Male)’ and ‘Trailblazer of the Year’ awards. Subhashree Ganguly was recognized as the ‘Most Stylish Star (Female)’, while Mimi Chakraborty won ‘Trendsetter of the Year’. Rukmini Maitra’s impeccable style earned her the title of ‘Hotstepper of the Year (Female)’, and Abir Chatterjee was honored as ‘Man of Style and Substance’.
The ever-stunning Raima Sen took home two titles—‘Most Fashionable Star (Female)’ and ‘Hottest Star of the Year (Female)’. Meanwhile, the popular on- and off-screen couple Nusrat Jahan and Yash Dasgupta were awarded ‘Most Fashionable Star Couple’.
Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta were named ‘Style Icon (Male)’ and ‘Style Icon (Female)’, respectively, further solidifying their legacy in the industry. Bengali cinema’s beloved superstar Dev won ‘Hottest Star of the Year (Male)’ and ‘Most Glamorous Star (Male)’, while Koel Mallick was honored as ‘Most Glamorous Star (Female)’.
Beyond cinema, the event also acknowledged cricketing legend Sourav Ganguly, who was recognized as ‘Sports Icon’, celebrating his impact beyond the field.
The legendary Sharmila Tagore was honored with ‘Style Icon Down the Years’, a tribute to her timeless elegance, while Roopa Ganguly was named ‘The Ultimate Diva – Timeless Beauty’.
A Night to Remember
The event reached its peak when Usha Uthup, who was awarded ‘Ultimate Diva Singer’, delivered a mesmerizing performance that had the audience captivated. Another unforgettable moment came when Vikram Chatterjee, Mimi Chakraborty, Puja Banerjee, Raj Chakrabarty, Moubani Sorcar, Rituparna Sengupta, Jeet, Subhashree, Tanushree, Nusrat Jahan, Yash Dasgupta, and Anuj shared the stage for a high-energy performance of London Thumakda.
The evening was skillfully hosted by Ushoshi Sengupta and Anuj Char, who kept the energy alive with their effortless charm.
