On 10th June, Monday Amazon Prime Video teased the release date of the most anticipated show Mirzapur season 3, but with a unique twist that made fans buzzing with excitement. They had
shared a caricature poster of ‘Mirzapur 3’, featuring the show’s main characters, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Harshita Gaur, and Vijay Verma “The unique way of announcing the release date kept fans on their toes. Based on the hints from the teaser, including the recurrence of the number seven and a full moon, many guessed the release date as July 7; others speculated dates like July 21, but later the makers announced that The series is all set to be released on July 5, 2024.
“Mirzapur” is a highly acclaimed gangster drama by Karan Anshuman,, who also co-wrote the series along with Puneeth Krishna and Vineet Krishna. It is backed by Excel Entertainment and its executive Producers, Farhan, Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kassim Jagmagia The Series premiered in 2018 and because of the great plot and fantastic acting of the cast, it became a blockbuster hit and got huge appreciation from the audience. The second season was released in October 2020, and it continued to maintain the series’ popularity with its intense plot and strong performances. The story of ‘Mirzapur’ revolves around Kaleen Bhaiya, a crimelord with a carpet business as a
front, played by Pankaj Tripathi, and the Pandit brothers, Guddu and Bablu. After the success of the two seasons, Fans were eagerly waiting for the new season to get released and now Prime Video has finally released its trailer today.
The trailer kicks off with Guddu Bhaiya (Ali Fazal) taking charge by destroying the statue of Tripathi in the centre of a chowk with a hammer. However, he doesn’t realise that there are several other contenders to that throne. For instance, Vijay Varma’s Bharat Tyagi. At the end of the trailer, Tripathi emerges from the shadows and promises to reclaim the throne and the empire he built from scratch with his late father. Added to the mix is Rasika Dugal’s Beena Tripathi gradually seducing the new self-proclaimed king, Guddu Bhaiya, and his right-hand woman, Golu (Shweta Tripathi), The series also stars Isha Talwar as politician Madhuri Yadav and Guddu Bhaiya’s estranged parents, played by Rajesh Tailang and Sheeba Chadha.
In the series, the makers said fans will see the stakes going notches higher and the canvas becoming bigger. “However, the rules remain the same while all eyes are on the coveted throne in the fictional world of Mirzapur. The big question prevails: whether the throne or Gaddi of Mirzapur will be earned or snatched in a battle of power and dominance where trust is a luxury that no one can afford. With this trailer being released, fans are now even more excited to see what the series has to offer.
