The iconic pair Riituparna Sengupta and Prosenjit Chatterjee’s 50th collaboration was done with their new film Ajogya, directed by Kaushik Ganguly. Ajogya is a Bengali drama film, released on June 7, 2024, in theatres.
After a gap of 14 years, Rituparna and Prosenjit paired up again in the film Praktan in 2016. The bond between this pair was rekindled with that film. And the audience showed immense love to the pair.
Rituparna in an interview said that with each film, there is new involvement and communication with the audience.
Like his 2023 blockbuster Ardhangini, Kaushik Ganguly’s Ajogyo is an unconventional drama about how the troubling past resurfaces to unsettle the present.
Prosenjit Chatterjee, who plays Prosen in the film, said in an interview that “working with Kaushik Ganguly as the director is, in my opinion, a pleasure for every performer. The film also has Silajit Majumder, Ambarish Bhattacharya, and Lily Chakraborty.
The director, Kaushik Ganguly, said in an interview that “I’m so happy and overwhelmed to be directing them and that my movie is a part of their 50th celebration, as they are one of the most successful Tollywood couples.”.
The movie is loved by an audience of many generations, and fans are yet again impressed to see the iconic couple together.
