In a mesmerizing display of technological innovation, Mr. Arijit Hajra, popularly known as the Robot Man of India and CEO of Think Again Lab, once again captivated the city of Kolkata with his latest creation – a live visual implementation of Chandrayaan 3. The event took place at Milan Utsav 2024, organized by the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation at Park Circus Maidan.
Arijit, along with a dedicated team of 20 innovators from Think Again Lab, showcased the three crucial phases of Chandrayaan 3 – takeoff, moon and orbiter, and vikram and pragyan – in a visually stunning presentation. The team crafted realistic, small-scale models of Chandrayaan 3, Sriharikota spaceport, the moon, orbiter, vikram, and pragyan. To enhance the authenticity, they created a lifelike environment, complete with terrain resembling the moon and space.
The Chandrayaan 3 model stood at 3 ft high, the moon at a diameter of about 5 ft, the orbiter at a length of 1.5 ft, vikram at 3 ft high, and pragyan at 1 ft in length. The entire stage, resembling an auditorium, measured 50 ft in width and 70 ft in length.
In addition to the detailed models, Think Again Lab introduced innovative supporting devices, including two 14 ft high cranes capable of lifting up to 500 kg to simulate the takeoff of Chandrayaan 3, and a 5 ft by 6 ft orbiting device to simulate the orbiter’s movements.
Arijit Hajra shared, “This project was a race against time. We received the stage just one day before the event, but the minimum installation time required was five days. Despite numerous challenges and criticisms, my team remained resilient. We were determined to prove once again that Team Think Again Lab is synonymous with innovation. The entire team slept for only one to two hours a day on the event ground for the last six days, working tirelessly to turn this dream project into a reality.”
He continued, “Our main objective was to visually represent Chandrayaan 3 to inspire youth about space science and to celebrate ISRO’s grand success last year in tribute to APJ Abdul Kalam.”
The project received immense praise from the audience, including top-ranking officials who visited the show. Team Think Again Lab is optimistic about the impact of such projects on future generations, inspiring them to pursue careers in technology and space. Special thanks were extended to PRO, Kingshuk Giri (T2 Media & PR) for providing the opportunity to cover this remarkable project.
