A Five-Year Musical Journey
Mohit Suri, known for iconic love stories like Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, revealed that the music album for Saiyaara is a deeply personal project. “The album has my songs, thoughts, and melodies that I have carefully collected and curated for over 5 years,” said Suri. He compared his love for discovering new composers and singers to book lovers collecting rare editions.
Introducing Fresh Talent from Kashmir
The Saiyaara title track marks the Bollywood debut of two incredibly talented musical artistes from Kashmir — Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami. The soulful track has been composed by renowned music director Tanishk Bagchi and penned by the legendary Irshad Kamil.
Suri shared his excitement, saying, “Faheem and Arslan are gifted musicians. Tanishk Bagchi made me meet them, and I am so grateful for that. Their voices bring a unique soulfulness to the track that perfectly captures the film’s essence.”
Fresh Faces in a Fresh Love Story
Saiyaara will introduce Ahaan Panday as the male lead, marking his debut in the Hindi film industry. The female lead, Aneet Padda, is already making headlines for her breakout performance in the critically acclaimed series Big Girls Don’t Cry.
