The entire team gathered to commemorate a significant achievement as “Sohag Chand”, Colors Bangla’s beloved TV show, completed a successful year of entertaining its audience. The show, which debuted on November 28, 2022, unfolds the contrasting lives of two individuals, Sohag and Chand. To add a special touch to this momentous occasion, the star cast presented a dance performance, followed by a reflective 365-day journey visual.
“Sohag Chand” narrates the story of Sohag, a compassionate young woman facing rejection from potential suitors due to her weight. In contrast, Chand is a fitness enthusiast with lofty life aspirations. While Sohag remains optimistic about finding a Prince Charming who will appreciate her inner beauty, Chand dreams of establishing a sports academy and seeks a flawless and beautiful bride. As the plot unfolds, the audience discovers that Chand perceives the inner beauty of Sohag.
Anwesa Ray Mukhopadhyay portrays the character of Sohag, while Abhishek Veer Sharma takes on the role of Chand. Other notable artists include Bharat Kaul, Samata Das, and Anuradha Mukherjee.
In the latest storyline, Sohag and Chand unite to thwart an attack on the warehouse orchestrated by goons led by Durjoy, safeguarding the Banerjee family from a significant business setback. Subsequently, the duo faces the heat of their potential divorce, with Sohag being held responsible for continuous family losses. Kamalika insists that Sohag should now free Chand by obtaining a divorce, citing his participation in the marathon to repay the long-standing amount of 20 lakhs. While Chand defends her, Sohag remains resolute.
