In a bid to enhance passenger convenience and streamline ticketing processes, Eastern Railway is proud to announce the installation of Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) across its network. These self-service kiosks empower passengers to purchase rail tickets effortlessly, eliminating the hassle of waiting in long queues.
How ATVM Works
With the ATVM, passengers can follow these simple steps to purchase unreserved tickets:
- Locate: Find the nearest Automatic Ticket Vending Machine (ATVM) available at the station.
- Destination: Select the destination station from the map or choose a station not listed on the map.
- Train Type: Choose the desired train type.
- Edit Journey Details: Customize journey details if needed.
- Payment Options: Select payment option, either through a Smart Card or via QR code.
- Smart Card Payment: Insert the card into the designated slot.
- QR Code Payment: Scan the UPI QR Code displayed on the ATVM screen.
- Input Route: Input the route and destination details.
- Confirmation: Confirm the journey details.
- Ticket Printing: Once confirmed, the ticket will be printed promptly.
- Fare Deduction: Fare charges will be deducted automatically.
