The movie directed by Ayan Mukherji Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani which has been a cult favorite since day 1, re-released on 3rd January, 2025 adding to the celebration of the new year.
Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani a romantic comedy released in 2013 starring Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and a few more, re-released making the new year for the audience a thousand times better. According to the early estimates the opening day of Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani collected 1.20 crores taking the front seat and leaving behind the movie “Laila Majnu” directed by Sajid Ali which re-released last year collecting 30 lakhs on it’s opening day.
After years of it’s release, the hype has not died down for this movie and with the number it has been collecting it does not look like the craze will die down soon. As it re-released the fans could not stop gushing about all over the internet, a fan tweets,

Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani opened with “full-houses” in almost every theatre. The movie sold 75,000 tickets on Book My Show adding to this overwhelming response, the movie has made it to the second best opening for a re-released film. Last year marked a remarkable success for the horror/fantasy movie Tumbbad which created history for collecting 1.50 crores on the opening day of it’s re-release. The question lies if Yeh Jawani Hain Deewani will be able to beat that or not?
