In response to the increased passenger demand during the Christmas season, Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division is introducing special EMU trains between Howrah and Goghat, Howrah and Barddhaman, as well as Howrah and Katwa on 24.12.2023.
The Goghat – Howrah EMU Special will depart from Goghat at 05:10 Hrs., reaching Howrah at 07:40 Hrs. The return journey, Howrah – Goghat EMU Special, will depart from Howrah at 17:35 Hrs., arriving at Goghat at 20:05 Hrs.
For the Barddhaman – Howrah route, the EMU Special will depart from Barddhaman at 05:20 Hrs., arriving at Howrah at 07:40 Hrs. The return journey, Howrah – Barddhaman EMU Special, will depart from Howrah at 17:15 Hrs., reaching Barddhaman at 19:40 Hrs.
The Katwa – Howrah EMU Special is scheduled to leave Katwa at 05:20 Hrs., reaching Howrah at 08:30 Hrs. The return journey, Howrah – Katwa EMU Special, will depart from Howrah at 17:20 Hrs., arriving at Katwa at 20:30 Hrs.
These EMU Specials will make stops at all stations en route. Additionally, to accommodate the expected influx of examinees for the Teacher’s Eligibility Test (TET), Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division has planned to operate all Sunday exempted EMU services (SUE) up to 10:00 Hrs. (on originating basis) on 24.12.2023 (Sunday).
