4th Edition of E3 Organised by IEEMA Flags Off in Kolkata: Energising and Empowering the Eastern Region

The bustling city of Kolkata witnessed the grand inauguration of the 4th edition of E3, the flagship event of the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturer’s Association (IEEMA), at the prestigious Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. Distinguished guests including Mr. Reuben Ahimbisibwe, Director, Access and Distribution Dept., Energy Development Corporation, Rwanda, Mr. Debasish Banerjee, Managing Director (Distribution), CESC Ltd, Mr. Bibhu Bhuyan, Managing Director, Assam Power Generation Corporation Ltd, Mr. Sunil Singhvi, President – Elect, IEEMA, Mr. Devesh Goel, Chairman, IEEMA Eastern Region & E3, Ms. Charu Mathur, Director General, IEEMA, Mr. Vikram Gandotra, Vice President, IEEMA, and Mr. Siddharth Bhutoria, NEC Member, IEEMA, among others, graced the occasion with their presence.

E3, which stands for Energise Empower East, is a premier three-day event that sheds light on the strides made by the Eastern and North Eastern regions in terms of energisation and empowerment. With a focus on utility and non-utility business opportunities across 15 states, 50 buyer organizations, and 15 conference sessions, E3 serves as a crucial platform for industry players to explore collaborations, discuss innovations, and showcase technological advancements. Visitors from East and North East India converge at E3 to engage in meaningful dialogues and forge partnerships that drive progress and development in the region.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sunil Singhvi, President – Elect, IEEMA, emphasized the significance of E3 as more than just an exhibition. He underscored its role as a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, innovation, and business opportunities in the rapidly evolving electricity market. With energy transition underway globally, Mr. Singhvi highlighted India’s position as a beacon of opportunity beyond China, asserting that this decade belongs to India. Mr. Devesh Goel, Chairman, IEEMA Eastern Region & E3 2024, highlighted the unique features of the 4th edition of E3, which includes a power-packed three-day conference alongside buyer-seller meets. This comprehensive approach aims to facilitate meaningful interactions and foster collaborations that drive growth and progress in the electrical industry.

Organized by the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA), the event brings together stakeholders from the electrical industry, technocrats, government officials, utilities, and emerging industry segments such as oil refineries, cement, railways, and steel. IEEMA, as the apex industry association, plays a pivotal role in advocating policy reforms, standardization, and research and development initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of power generation, transmission, and distribution equipment.
