They say Kolkata knows how to revere art, creation, language with their deep attachment to the city. This was proven once again as The Creative Arts Academy (TCAA) relaunched its “Artishyana” – a revamped studio that would now offer not only drama but much more.

 

The Creative Arts Academy (TCAA) found its home in Kolkata, twenty years ago and has been since then training the city’s youth in theatre and associated art form . As they

completed two decades of their existence, they have just launched a new all-inclusive Arts Space for people of all genders, age groups, communities, economics backgrounds and special needs -An Artshiyana for everyone.

Their new 3 floored-studio in Kalighat is a holistic space to celebrate arts. The new space will have 3 studios for workshops, training sessions, rehearsals, residencies, exhibitions, shoots and performances.

Established in 2002, The Creative Arts Academy is the passion child of award-winning Theatre and Film Actor and Director Ramanjit Kaur. Says Ramanjit Kaur “I have started this with a mission to provide holistic training in Theatre and its multiple genres and it is more a labour of love than any usual business. We not only have done award winning shows but have trained several promising artists as well.”

It was in 2020 that TCAA launched The Creative Arts Academy- one of its kind Arts academy that focused on facilitating inter-disciplinary/ intra-disciplinary interactions and collaborations between artists from across the globe.

TCAA feels proud to announce their collaboration with the eminent masters in their fields like Pt. Tanmoy Bose & his organization Tabla Inc., Anjum Katyal, S V Raman, Ushoshi Sengupta, Debashree Bhattacharya, Shubha Bangur and Sonali Lahiri, while the founder director will continue to spearhead the performing arts department.

TCAA has associated with the best artists, not just from India but also from International Art forums with experienced mentors that include the best in the industry. TCAA will offer intensive training in Theatre, Music, Creative Writing, Dance, Creative Movement, Communication, Arts Management and Arts@School. Their

experienced Faculty members include Shuktara Lal, Baisali Chatterjee Dutt, Piu Mukherjee, Piali Ray and others.
