ICAI Elects New Torchbearers for the Year 2024-25

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) witnessed a significant transition on February 12, 2024, as it elected its new President and Vice-President for the term 2024-25.

CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal has been elected as the President of ICAI, while CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda assumes the role of Vice-President, effective from February 12, 2024.

CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, President, ICAI (2024-25)

A distinguished professional renowned for his organizational prowess and academic excellence, CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal steps into the prestigious role of the 72nd President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the year 2024-25. With an extensive history of service to the institute, including consecutive terms in the Central Council and Regional Council, CA. Agarwal has demonstrated a proactive approach to integrating modern technologies like artificial intelligence and automation to foster a forward-thinking workplace and workforce.

His tenure as Vice President in 2023-24 showcased his unwavering commitment to the profession, marked by initiatives such as the successful implementation of UDIN and Bank Branch Audit Software. Notably, his leadership as Chairman of the Ethical Standards Board resulted in the formulation of a new code of Ethics after a decade, emphasizing his dedication to upholding ethical standards within the profession.

Under his guidance, initiatives like the CA Business Leaders 40 under 40 campaign were launched to recognize and celebrate the achievements of young CA professionals, highlighting his commitment to nurturing excellence and innovation within the industry.
