IEEMA organises “Connect North East” to promote collaboration and innovation for the Electricity industry in the North East.

250+ buyer-seller meetings registered with a focus on driving synergies and alliances in the sector.

October 10, 2023, Kolkata: The Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), the apex association of the Indian electrical equipment manufacturing industry today organized “Connect North East” to foster collaboration and drive innovation for the Electrical Industry in the North East.

IEEMA organised this exclusive Buyer-Seller Meet on 10th October 23 in Guwahati. This pioneering event registered 250+ buyer-seller meetings from industry players and stakeholders from across the North East. Buyers from utilities and non-utilities like oil refineries, irrigation, PWD, smart city, railways, urban infrastructure, EPCs, etc. The event will be a catalyst for transformative partnerships and strategic alliances within the sector.

To tap the unexplored opportunities in East & North East India, senior officials were invited from noteworthy sectors like Utilities, Railways, Defence, Oil & Gas, PWD Depts, Agriculture Dept, Smart City Authority and other organisations from entire North East India.

Mr. Devesh Goel, Chairman of Eastern Region, IEEMA inaugurated the event and welcomed this initiative of IEEMA. Mr Goel remarked that IEEMA is a prominent facilitator of industry networking, “The Buyer-Seller Meet aims to create a dynamic platform where key players from the Electrical Industry, Utilities, and Non-Utilities can engage in meaningful dialogues, explore synergies, and forge mutually beneficial relationships”.

Focus On North East

IEEMA has been working on several initiatives focused on promoting the electricity and electronics industry in the North East. Connect North East, E3 – Energize Empower East and Bengal Power Conclave are some of the marquee initiatives that have been initiated to help leverage opportunities for the industry and promote growth of the sector in the North East. IEEMA is also launching the 4th edition of E3 – Energize Empower East on 7th – 9th February 2024 to build engagement of the industry and stakeholders to drive development in North East.
